Film Discussion, Friday, April 23 at 7:30pm
" 'The Burial of Kojo' is a mesmerizing and dazzling piece shot in Ghana. It was one of the top hits of the night on Friday at the Urbanworld Film Festival. It is a story of a Ghanaian father, Kojo, and his relationship with his daughter, Esi. The love that these two share is inseparable — it’s real. It’s a story of fate and dreams." -Black Girl Nerds Film Review, 'The Burial of Kojo'
This is a rich and exquisite film that I am so excited to discuss with our congregation- please watch the trailer. We will provide a zoom link closer to the Film Discussion date.
I look forward to sharing more about the film and coming together in community to discuss the impacts of this masterpiece. A zoom link will be provided next week to join in on the discussion. For more information or questions contact Stella Kahn

Parish House Gallery
Pandemic Inspirations - artwork by Wendy Soliday
These abstract paintings have been my saving grace during the pandemic. I had done very few abstracts and in the last few months, I have allowed myself to play and experiment with acrylics. Some of them are pretty wild, some I love, some I hate, but all of them taught me something and provide now splashes of color in this snowy white world. I have been reading about art and prayer; sometimes drawing, painting, scribbling can capture a prayer better than words alone.
