Music
The music program at the Old Meeting House is a vital part
of our church life. June Morse is the Music Director and Marcia
Bowles directs the choir. The hymns sung on Sunday mornings
come primarily from the New Century Hymnal, as well as the
older but not forgotten hymnals such as the Church Service
and Pilgrim Hymnals.
Music also plays a major role in the theatre productions
of the Old Meetinghouse. Over the past twenty years, members
of the congregation and community have enjoyed singing and
participating in productions of "Joseph's Amamzing Technicolor
Dreamcoat", "Godspell",
"Amahl and the Night Visitors", "Oliver",
"Fiddler on the Roof", and
"The Wiz". Plans are currently underway for a marionette
show of
"Noah's Ark".
We welcome area musicians, be they students, amateurs or
professionals, to share their gifts by participating in our
Sunday morning worship services. Children are especially encouraged
to play for us and we strive to create a nurturing environment
for all. |
